Neanche il tempo di modificare il post precedente ed è uscita la 1870!!
Mi è stata segnalata facendo il login nel nas.

Se non vi viene segnalata, probabilmente è disattivata fra le impostazioni.

Ciao, a me era uscito l'avviso circa la disponibilità della 1870 (in realtà era uscito dopo che ho cliccato io a mano su "controlla aggiornamenti", perché non ho l'aggiornamento automatico attivo).
In quel momento però non volevo aggiornare ed ho atteso alcuni giorni. Ora, se clicco di nuovo su "controlla aggiornamenti" mi segnala che ho il firmware aggiornato (eppure ho ancora la 1858 installata). Ovviamente potrei ad es. scaricare il file immagine del nuovo firmware dal sito QNAP ed installarlo in quel modo ma mi chiedo come mai il controllo segnali che ho il firmware aggiornato, dato che non è così (non si era mai verificata prima questa anomalia). Al momento non installo niente e rimango in attesa...

Ancora nessuna possibilità di aggiornare tramite la procedura live. da sempre nessun aggiornamento. provato e verificato su oltre 10 nas con versioni 4.5.4 build varie e niente di niente. invece su un nas che ha la 5.0 e ha anche gli aggiornamenti automatici ha scaricato e installato l'ultima build del primo dicembre 2021.

Ma che sta succedendo, qualcuno ha notizie. no mi va di fare agg fw a mano perhce penso ci sia un motivo in tutto ciò! forse sannmo di problemi nel sato dalal 4.5.4 alla 5.0.0 e hanno intenzionalmente sospeso gli agg. dalla live?.

Del resto ribadisco che anche tramite qfinder non viene notificato e proposto l'aggiornamento.

HO RICEVUTO RISPOSTA DAL TICKET APERTO PER L'ANOMALIA DEGLI AGGIORNAMENTI che non vengono fatti dal live update.

vi posto la risposta a voi i commenti... Ma com'è possibile una cosa del genere e poi senza un minimo di avviso o di capire che fare?
ma soprattutto perché sono stati sospesi. forse problemi e di quale natura. booo...

Le confermo che per alcuni modelli di NAS, l'aggiornamento automatico è stato disattivato dai developers.

Al supporto tecnico non è stato comunicato quando sarà ripristinato il servizio.

Nel frattempo sarà possibile eseguire aggiornamento manualmente come indicato nelle seguenti guide:

Non vedo tutto questo problema, bastava farsi un giro nelle impostazioni e verificare, e comunque credo che sia stato inserito in qualche log precedente che veniva disattivato l'aggiornamento, proprio perchè prima dell'estate ci fu quel firmware che creò tanti problemi.

E' uscita la 1891, sui miei non ho avuto problemi.
HO fatto il passaggio anche al 453D però questa volta ho rimosso la cache SSD prima di fare il salto, e poi ho ricreato la cache, visto che c'è un importante warning sull'argomento:

Vedo che è uscita la 1892 che in teoria dovrebbe essere l'ultima ma la versione è 4.5.4 anzichè 5.0.0, è normale secondo Voi?Posso mettere tranquillamente la 4.5.4.1892, attualmente ho la 5.0.0.1858.......mi sembra molto strano questo 4.5.4, come mai sono tornati indietro?

La 4.5.4.1892 contiene aggiornamenti di sicurezza per chi non vuole passare alla 5.0 o per i nas che non avranno la 5.0.

Rimandavo ormai da settimane l'aggiornamento alla 5.0 per il mio TS-253A, in attesa di una versione più matura, quando stanotte il NAS ha deciso di aggiornarsi automaticamente (eppure l'opzione di "aggiornamento automatico" non l'ho mai avuta attiva, tantomeno l'ho attivata di recente...che diavolo è successo?). Quindi ora sto usando la 5.0.0.1891, nessun disastro per adesso ma sembra tutto un po' rallentato (e già non era un fulmine prima). Non comprendo come anche applicazioni come File Station (basilare per un NAS) ci mettano anche più di 10 secondi ad aprirsi e mostrare l'elenco delle cartelle, per non parlare di App Center che resta appesa fino ad un minuto prima di mostrarmi la lista delle applicazioni. Speriamo migliori con successivi aggiornamenti.

Grazie dell'info, avevo letto di DeadBolt, ma questa "contromisura" di QNAP mi era sfuggita....io non ho il NAS esposto all'esterno quindi ero tranquillo, certo che così rischiano di causare in ogni caso danni se l'aggiornamento non va a buon fine.

scusate se sono off-topic ma dopo aver aggiornato alla 5.0.0.1932 l'app amule era non attiva , come se fosse interrotta. NOn npotendo avviarla l'ho disinstallata ma non la trovo più nell'app center.
Non è più supportata per caso? Avrei la necessità di riattivarla , si può fare ?

Molti problemi sono stati sistemati ma altri permangono tuttora (ad esempio velocità ed efficienza delle connessioni thunderbolt per i modelli che ne sono dotati)

- To ensure data security, system stability, and storage performance, the maximum number of drives for a single RAID group is now 16 (applicable to RAID 5, RAID 6, and subgroups of RAID 50 and RAID 60). Nevertheless, users can combine multiple RAID groups into a large storage pool that contains more than 16 drives, using RAID 50, RAID 60, or RAID 10 as the RAID configuration. - Creating a local user and a domain user with the same username would cause unexpected results in SMB folder permissions.
- Control Panel would automatically grant the read/write permissions of an external drive to random users after a NAS restart.

- QTS could not send a password change URL via email when users entered their usernames without case sensitivity.
- The TS-231K and TS-431K could not detect USB devices connected to the front USB ports.
- Subfolders created in QTS 4.5.4 could not inherit folder permissions that were granted to their parent folders in QTS 5.0.0.
- After users joined the NAS to an Active Directory domain and enabled "Automatically register in DNS" in Control Panel, QTS would only register the IP address of the last network interface to the AD DNS server.
- The LAN-10G2SF-MLX network expansion card could not function normally after users updated QTS to 5.0.0.
- The TS-863U could not correctly display the system temperature and fan speeds.
- Domain users could not access files in shared folders due to unexpected changes in access permissions after a NAS restart.
- In Windows, users could not open a previous version of a file located in the NAS home folder.
- QuLog Center would display unexpected syslog entries for the local host.
- The system default gateway would disappear and could not connect to the Internet after users connected a 100 Mbps Ethernet cable and then restarted the NAS.
- Users could not configure the MAC address of the primary Ethernet port via an SSH command.
- Network & Virtual Switch could not correctly display IPv6 DNS information.
- QTS occasionally could not update virus definitions if users chose to check for virus definition updates every day.

[Known Issues]
- Twonky Server cannot function normally on the TS-h973AX running the latest versions of QTS.
- Some applications cannot access the NAS when secure connection and TLS 1.3 are enabled. This is due to a known issue in the applications. We will fix this issue in upcoming app releases.
- macOS Finder takes a long time to display content in SMB shared folders when users connect the Mac to the NAS via Thunderbolt. This problem may be due to Mac device driver issues. It only occurs to Mac devices with Intel processors and macOS 11 (or later versions).
- Thunderbolt write speeds are lower than expected in QTS 5.0.0. Note: Due to Thunderbolt driver compatibility issues, if you are using macOS 11/12 devices with Intel processors, we do not recommend updating QTS to 5.0.0 for the time being.
- QTS and QuTS hero with newer kernel versions do not support ATTO Fibre Channel adapters. If you have already installed an ATTO Fibre Channel adapter on your device, we do not recommend updating the firmware to QTS 5.0.0 or QuTS hero h5.0.0 for the time being.
- Control Panel cannot display the information of the TPU installed in the M.2 slot on the QGD-1602P.
- After users rename a shared folder, QuLog Center still displays the original folder name in Accessed Resources.
- The WordPress folder would disappear from the NAS Web Folder after users updated QTS to 5.0.0 and WordPress to 5.7.2. (WordPress could not keep the previous settings during the update.)

- A file system issue (EXT4 error) might occur when users disabled or removed SSD cache after using SSD cache.

[Other Changes]
SSD Profiling Tool
- QTS no longer pre-installs SSD Profiling Tool by default. Users can install this tool in the App Center.

Control Panel
- Replaced SQL Server with MariaDB 5/MariaDB 10, which can be installed in the App Center.
- Removed iSCSI Service from Service Binding in Control Panel. Users can now configure iSCSI service binding settings in iSCSI & Fibre Channel.

Qboost
- Qboost is no longer a built-in application of QTS. Users can choose to install Qboost in App Center.

App Center
- To ensure system security, QTS now automatically disables applications that are not updated and that do not meet the minimum version requirements.
- Removed support for the following applications, utilities, or services:
* WebERP
* GLPI
* Vtiger CRM
* Ragic Cloud DB

QVR Pro Client & QVR Smart Client
- Starting from QTS 5.0.0, HybridDesk Station no longer supports QVR Pro Client (HDMI output). You can install QVR Smart Client on HybridDesk Station as the client software for your QVR Pro, QVR Elite, or QVP surveillance servers. Note that QVR AI Pack License is required for using QVR Smart Client. You can continue using QVR Pro Client on Windows or macOS as the client software for your surveillance servers to watch live views or play back recordings.

NVR Storage Expansion
- Starting from QTS 5.0.0, NVR Storage Expansion is no longer supported.
